Jefferson County bedbug website up and running

WATERTOWN — You can now go to one Internet source to find out what to do if you have a bedbug infestation.

The Jefferson County Public Health Service launched its bedbug website to help people find information about bedbugs and how to get rid of them. The new website can be found at http://wdt.me/NRm7XA.

“We have covered all the bases,” Mr. Jennings, who arranged for the symposium after hearing about the extent of the problem in Watertown, said.

He again stressed that tenants should immediately contact their landlord if they find bedbugs in their apartments. Tenants often panic. The stigma of the blood-sucking, mostly nocturnal insects sometimes causes tenants to delay notifying their landlords. In turn, the infestation only gets worse.
